Privacy policy

This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We have tried to write it in plain English rather than legal boilerplate.

Effective date: August 12, 2026

The short version

  • We ask only for what we need to answer your request for guidance.
  • A real, licensed person uses your details to follow up. We do not robocall you.
  • We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not hand your contact details to other insurance agencies.
  • Like most websites, we use advertising and analytics tools that set their own cookies. You can turn those off — see Cookies and tracking.
  • You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete your information at any time. Email support@seniorslighthouse.com.

Who we are

Seniors Lighthouse operates this website as an educational resource and insurance brokerage. You can reach us by email at support@seniorslighthouse.com or by phone at 844-484-5056, Mon-Fri, 9am-5:30pm CT.

Information you give us

When you fill out our guidance request form, we ask for the following. Only your first name and phone number are required.

  • Your first name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address (optional)
  • The best time of day to reach you (optional)
  • Who the coverage is for — yourself, a spouse, a parent, or someone else
  • What you are trying to accomplish
  • The age range of the person to be covered
  • Your confirmation that we may contact you about life insurance information

We do not ask for your Social Security number, your bank or card details, or your medical records anywhere on this website. Submitting the form is a request for information, not an application for insurance. If you later decide to apply for a policy, the insurance company — not this website — will collect whatever additional information its application requires, under its own privacy policy.

If you email or call us, we keep a record of that conversation so we can help you. Calls to our published phone number may first be answered by an automated assistant that takes your details before a licensed agent follows up.

Information collected automatically

When you arrive on the site, we record how you got here so we know which of our pages and ads are actually useful. This is stored in your browser’s session storage and attached to your request if you submit the form:

  • The page you landed on
  • The website that referred you, if you arrived from somewhere other than our own pages
  • Campaign tags in the web address (for example utm_source) and the click identifiers that Google and Meta add to their ad links

Our hosting provider and the advertising tools described below also receive standard technical information that every website visit generates, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view.

How we use your information

  • To have a licensed agent follow up about the guidance you asked for
  • To answer your questions and, if you want, help you compare and apply for coverage
  • To keep records of who we spoke with and what was discussed, which insurance regulations require us to maintain
  • To understand which pages, guides, and ads help people, so we can publish more of what works
  • To detect and prevent spam, fraud, and abuse of our forms
  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations

Who we share it with

We share your information only in these situations:

  • Insurance companies, when you ask us to. If you decide to move forward with a policy, we submit your application to the insurer you choose. Each insurer handles your information under its own privacy policy.
  • Service providers who run this site for us. This includes our website host, our database provider, our email provider, and the phone service that answers our calls. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
  • Advertising and analytics partners. Google and Meta receive information about your visit through the tools described below, so we can measure whether our ads reach people who find them useful.
  • When the law requires it.For example, in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or regulator request, or to protect someone’s safety.

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share your contact details with other insurance agencies, lead buyers, or marketing companies. You should know that some state privacy laws, including California’s, define “sale” and “sharing” broadly enough to cover the advertising cookies described in the next section. That is why we describe those tools plainly and tell you how to switch them off.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not currently show a cookie banner, so we want to be direct about what loads when you visit:

  • Meta Pixel. Tells us when someone who saw one of our Facebook or Instagram ads visited the site or submitted the form. It sets its own cookies.
  • Google tag. Does the same for our Google Ads campaigns, and records when a form submission completes. It sets its own cookies.
  • Session storage. We store how you arrived at the site in your browser’s session storage. This is not a cookie and it is erased when you close the tab.

These advertising tools load on the live site only. You can limit or stop them in several ways: block or delete cookies in your browser settings; adjust your Meta ad preferences and Google ad settings; use the industry opt-out pages at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org; or turn on the Global Privacy Control signal in a browser that supports it. Blocking these tools does not affect your ability to use this site or to request guidance.

Phone calls, emails, and text messages

When you submit the form, you are telling us it is alright to contact you about life insurance information. Here is what that means in practice:

  • A real, licensed agent calls you. We do not use robocalls or prerecorded sales messages.
  • We contact you using the phone number and, if you provided one, the email address you gave us.
  • You can tell us to stop at any time — on the call, by replying to any email, or by writing to support@seniorslighthouse.com. We will add you to our internal do-not-call list and stop reaching out.
  • Asking us to stop contacting you does not affect any policy you already own.

How we protect your information

Lead records are stored in a hosted database that is locked down by default: the public website has no read access to it, and only authorized staff can open our internal console, which is protected by a passphrase and an expiring session. Traffic to and from this site is encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit who can reach your information and keep that circle small.

How long we keep it

We keep your request for as long as we are helping you, and after that for as long as insurance recordkeeping rules require us to hold records of the guidance we gave. We remove records we no longer have a reason to keep. If you want your information deleted sooner, ask us and we will delete it unless a law requires us to keep it.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to do any of the following, and we will not treat you differently for asking:

  • Tell you what information we hold about you
  • Correct anything that is wrong
  • Delete your information
  • Stop contacting you

Email support@seniorslighthouse.com or call 844-484-5056. We may need to confirm your identity before we act, so that nobody else can make these requests about you. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy law, and you may have the right to appeal if we turn your request down.

Children’s privacy

This site is meant for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Other websites

Our guides link to outside resources such as state insurance departments and insurance company websites. We do not control those sites, and this policy does not cover them. Read their privacy policies before sharing information with them.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our practices change, and we will change the effective date at the top when we do. If we make a significant change to how we use the information you already gave us, we will make a point of telling you.
